On Tuesday, a high-speed pickup truck collided with a motorcycle on National Highway 23 in Bokaro district, Jharkhand. This unfortunate incident resulted in the deaths of a teenager and his father, while the mother sustained serious injuries, according to police reports. The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Jariadih police station.
Bermo Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) B.N. Singh stated, 'The motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck loaded with vegetables traveling at high speed. Three members of the same family were riding the motorcycle.'
Singh further added, 'The father and his teenage son died at the scene, while the mother was critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at Bokaro Sadar Hospital.' In response to the incident, enraged locals blocked NH-23, demanding the immediate arrest of the driver and appropriate compensation for the affected family.
